Yoghurt Rooms Wedding Photographer

Being a Yoghurt Rooms Wedding Photographer was a delight.  As a wedding photographer there are certain venues that make you excited, and for me The Yoghurt Rooms in East Grinstead is one of them.  The Yoghurt Rooms has a rustic charm which I love, and really is the perfect choice for a relaxed, chilled, fun filled day with your friends and families.  When Lucy and Lewis got in touch and told me about their wedding vibe and plans, I was totally on board.  For them the most important thing they were looking for in a venue was somewhere that allowed them space to personalise and incorporate lots of handmade decorations, with a relaxed, rustic vibe.  With Lewis being a plumber, they were keen to put his talents to work, and he created all the table candelabras, the bar signage and other little decorative touches throughout the venue.  Opting for mostly neutral tones to decorate the barn, they cleverly added in pops of coral and pink in the ribbon chandeliers which they made, and amongst the flowers and bouquets (created by the lovely Ivy Florence). The table decor looked fabulous, I’m sure you’ll agree.  And what I particularly love about the pebble place names is that she collected pebbles from Brighton beach with her bridesmaids and their children, and then her best friend hand printed each guest name on them.  For me it’s such little personalised touches that really make a wedding special.

I also loved Lucy and Lewis’ personal styling.  Lucy went for a boho vibe, with her dress by Stella York.  Lewis’s twist on black tie looked great too.  He went for a bespoke tailored velvet dark green jacket made for him by Hackett, which he teamed up with black tuxedo trousers and black bow tie.  The bridal party all looked gorgeous too in mismatched individual champagne coloured dresses, each with significant fabulous bling, and the boys all looked dapper in black tie.

One of my favourite things about their brilliant day was that it was so chilled, and everything was geared around having simply the best time with their favourite people.  The dance floor was brilliant fun too, and will forever be remembered as one of my favourites…any Bride who spontaneously recreates the Dirty Dancing Johnny & Baby lift is a winner in my book!  Go see the photo at the end of the blog post – so brilliant ha!
