2019 Best Wedding Photography

Oh hello 2020! Not quite sure how that happened! Another year flew by so fast…but then again, I say that every new year. So, after much deliberations and the usual January procrastination my 2019 Best Wedding Photography post has finally arrived! I make it sound like I gave birth to it. I guess in a weird kind of way though I actually did. Each time I take a photo, a little bit of me goes into it.

Connection is what fascinates me. All the little things we do, say, how we move, touch, react to each other – the myriad of this at a wedding will never tire for me. It’s funny as I’m often asked how long I’ve been a photographer, how many weddings I’ve captured and do I get bored of them? (11 years. At a guess around 250. No never – each one is a new little beautiful adventure). I’ll honestly never tire of human connections and emotions – whether it be the moment when Dad sees his baby in her wedding dress, the love and laughter shared between best friends, the tears shed for those whose absence is quietly felt, the sheer joy in the eyes of two souls who’ve just married, the face when they’ve just swallowed what feels like have a tonne of confetti, or those who dance like no one is watching. There really is nothing quite like it.

So, to all my 2019 couples THANK YOU!!! I loved getting to know each and every one of you. Being trusted to capture one of the most important days of your life is honestly such an honour. I feel very lucky, and am grateful every single day for the opportunity to do this crazy, fabulous job.

My 2020 and 2021 couples, thank you too!!! I can’t wait to get to know you more. I’m excited for what lies ahead, documenting your days for you with love and honesty.

And now. What you came here for. This was my 2019 in images.
