Grittenham Barn Wedding Photographer ~ Louisa and Jon’s Relaxed Church Wedding

When the gorgeous Louisa and Jon got in touch with me to be their Grittenham Barn wedding photographer, I was over the moon. Everything about Louisa and Jon was what I love in my couples – relaxed, down to earth, up for a laugh, creative, animal lovers and outdoor adventure seekers. With family and friends travelling from all over the world they wanted their wedding day to be a relaxed, joyous day, which truly reflected them both as individuals and as a couple. And they delivered on all counts.

On the style front, they both nailed it. Louisa chose the most gorgeous dress by Jesus Peiro from Miss Bush Bridal in Surrey, and Jon and his boys looked super dapper in their velvet tux…which I may add was no mean feat given that it was a balmy hot day in May! Louisa was beautified by the lovely Rosie Hart, and her lovely bouquet and English country garden wild flowers were by Kate Wright. When it came to the bubbles and delicious food, Gastro Catering delivered in spectacular style as always. Whenever I see their name pop up in my pre-day planning chats, I always do a little happy dance!

What I loved most about their day though was the little touches they included that made it totally unique to them. When we first spoke it was clear that some of their most favourite things (aside from each other and their families!) was their house bunny, creating things and being outdoors in nature, so it was wonderful to find these things woven into their day. Louisa’s talent for making and baking was evident from not only having made their fabulous wedding cake, but she also created and crafted the cutest knitted replica bunnies of her and Jon (including matching handmade clothes even down to the exact detailing of their accessories like for example an L & J embroidered little handkerchief and a pearl bracelet!), and all the table décor/favours. Jon got handy too crafting all the table names and place names out of cut tree trunks, each soldered with names which looked fantastic and complimented the rural farm setting completely.

We also made the most of the gorgeous farm location with a short portrait session early afternoon in the barn as it was mad hot, and later too at golden hour (my favourite time of the day, especially when it’s a sun splitting the sky all day kind of day like this was!).

If you’re looking for a relaxed wedding photographer, who will capture your day with no fuss and a whole lot of joy then get in touch. I’d love to hear all about your wedding day plans…
