2023 Best Documentary Wedding Photographer

Well there you have it! A whole year done and dusted, and another one ushered in. Hello 2024, I’m ready for you!

2023 saw me capturing joyous filled moments of the most stylish, fun-filled days imaginable in all manor of places. From London pubs to stunning woods and tipis in English countryside, not forgetting some of the most elegant manor houses, with ‘I do’s’ exchanged outside in fields, gardens, or ancient churches and gorgeous barns. Each wedding was, as ever, utterly unique with it’s own heart and style. Whatever and wherever the location, the commonality of them all is that my couples wanted an experienced, chilled photographer who would unobtrusively capture them having the best day ever with all those they love most. On writing that last sentence, I intended to sum up what my couples all have in common in their search for a photographer in just one word (…which for the record would be JOY). But as my husband would say to me why use one, when you can use so many!? In my defence I literally can’t help it…I blame my Irish genes; it’s the storyteller in me! Forgive me, I digress. Quite simply couples choose me to capture their joyous wedding days in a relaxed and authentic manner. Trusting me to capture the small beautiful quiet moments, as much as the bigger loud moments. Knowing I will blend into their day seamlessly with their family and friends, allowing them the space to just be themselves and really enjoy the time together with all those they love. My heart is full witnessing the love and joy of human connections; it’s quite honestly the best thing about being at a wedding and why I love being a photographer. 14 years in capturing weddings, and the honour of documenting one of the best days of my couple’s lives still fills me with so much gratitude.

Selecting my favourites from the year never gets any easier!  So, I really hope you enjoy the following moments of joy captured.  Thank you so much to all my wonderful couples past, present and future for trusting me to capture the memories of your most special days. It is such a privilege.
