Slaugham Place Wedding Photographer ~ Lydia & James’ Stunning Elegant Outdoors Wedding

Lydia and James’ Slaugham Place Wedding was gorgeous in every way.  Blessed with the perfect sunny Summer day, adding to the idyllic setting for their special day, they exchanged heart felt vows surrounded by their nearest and dearest. The outdoor setting was the perfect complement to their intimate and personal ceremony, with the ruins of Slaugham Place providing a unique and charming back drop.

Lydia got ready at a local cute little airbnb, which was the perfect place for her and her girls to get beautified.  With the creative team at Steban’s Hair Studio delivering on gorgeous hair styling, and the lovely talented Melissa Hills on make up Lydia looked incredible.  Opting for a blush pink Morilee wedding dress, Lydia looked simply stunning, and this was complimented perfectly by one of my favourite bouquets of the year by the brilliant Chrissy from Bud and Flower (another Horsham based supplier). With earthy tones, whites, greens and little bursts of yellows and oranges, the bouquets and flowers were stunning.

Now we all know weddings are about the food right…ha! Erm no well of course not, but you know it is super important!  When I saw that Earth Catering were serving up their wonderfully delicious and locally-sourced menu for Lydia and James and their guests, I definitely did a little happy dance. The food was fantastic as always; delivering both a feast for the eyes and 5* for the taste buds too, and their service was friendly and all around perfection.  The decor was kept simple but elegant, with natural tones and earthy accents that perfectly complemented the setting of Slaugham Place. Fresh flowers and greenery were used throughout, adding a touch of colour and life to the beautiful marquee overlooking the ruins.  I loved how Lydia and James managed to infuse their day with their two main passions – running and cycling.  All the table details were related to both, incorporating some of the fabulous places they’ve ran around/up and/or cycled through together! One of the stand out moments of the day for me had to be when James’ best man, ‘revealed’ the much sought after and revered recipe for James’ mum’s chocolate brownies…which turned out to be Aunt Bessie’s quick mix ha! I think Lydia’s face says it all ha!  The joy continued well into the night, with a rocking dance floor, led by the brilliant Up the Ante band.

It truly was an honour to be a part of Lydia and James’ special day, capturing unforgettable memories that will be cherished for a lifetime. Go see the love, light and laughter for yourself…
