Being chosen to be a Two Woods Wedding Photographer is a total JOY! A wedding at the enchanting Two Woods Estate is a dream for any outdoors loving Sussex documentary wedding photographer. Which is me by the way. Pleased to meet you!

I’ll never forget the first time I ever captured a wedding at Two Woods a few years ago now, as my first glimpse of the giant redwood trees literally took my breath away. It’s one of those places that truly captures your heart. The energy and vibe there is something else. A place of true peace and beauty. Nature at it’s finest. And it was exactly this that attracted the gorgeous Rosa and Connor to celebrate their wedding here. They told me that as soon as they saw it they knew it was the perfect place for them to get wed. It ticked all their must haves for their relaxed, joy filled, intimate wedding.

Now you’re probably thinking an outdoors ceremony in an enchanting forest sounds fab, but what if it rains, then what?!  We all know the Great British weather is never to be relied on, regardless of what time of the year it is!  And well it did. Large fat blobs of rain. And it was still magical, wonderful and full of joy. As will always be the case if you just embrace it, as did Rosa, Connor, and all their wonderful families and friends.  The combination of nature’s beauty and the warmth of all their loved ones gathered around them made their day beyond special.

Everything about their relaxed wedding day was truly gorgeous and heart felt. From their choice to meet up before hand for a ‘first look’ at the mystical stone circle in the forest, and to thereafter arrive at their ceremony location walking together hand in hand up to get wed watched by all their favourite humans, to the actual exchange of rings and personal vows under the canopy of giant redwoods. So many beautiful touches filled their day, such as Rosa had grown and cut the lavender for their confetti throw, and I can’t tell you how wonderful the aroma was!  Everything about them and their relaxed wedding day was truly wonderful, and a total joy to capture as a documentary wedding photographer. I was also lucky enough to be invited to capture their wedding party the next day too, at one of their favourite London hang outs which was utterly fabulous.  Be sure to check it out in the next blog post here.
