Two Woods Estate ~ Sussex Wedding Photographer
Being chosen as a Two Woods Estate wedding photographer is a total joy. A wedding at the enchanting Two Woods Estate is a dream for any outdoors-loving Sussex documentary wedding photographer. Which is me, by the way. Pleased to meet you.
I will never forget the first time I photographed a wedding at Two Woods. As soon as I caught sight of the towering redwood trees, it quite literally took my breath away. It is one of those places that captures your heart instantly.
There is something special about the energy there. It feels peaceful, grounding and completely immersed in nature. It was exactly that feeling that drew the wonderful Rosa and Connor to Two Woods for their wedding day. They told me that the moment they saw it, they knew it was the perfect place to get married. It ticked every box for their relaxed, joy-filled and intimate celebration.
An outdoor ceremony, rain and all
Now, you might be thinking that an outdoor ceremony in an enchanting forest sounds incredible. But what about the weather? We all know that the Great British weather is never something you can rely on, no matter the season. And on Rosa and Connor’s wedding day, it did rain. Big, heavy drops of rain.
Yet the day remained magical, joyful and full of warmth. Rosa and Connor embraced it completely, as did their families and friends. That mindset made all the difference. Surrounded by the beauty of nature and the love of the people closest to them, their wedding felt deeply special and full of meaning.
A day filled with personal moments
Everything about Rosa and Connor’s wedding day felt thoughtful and heartfelt. They chose to meet beforehand for a ‘first look’ at the mystical stone circle hidden in the forest. From there, they walked hand in hand to their ceremony location, arriving together and surrounded by their favourite people.
They exchanged rings and personal vows beneath the canopy of towering redwoods. It was intimate, emotional and wonderfully relaxed.
So many beautiful personal touches were woven throughout the day. Rosa had grown and cut the lavender for their confetti, and the scent as it filled the air was incredible. Moments like that made the day feel uniquely theirs.
A joy to photograph, and more to come
Photographing Rosa and Connor’s wedding was an absolute joy. Their connection, their openness and the way they embraced the day made it a dream to capture in a documentary way.
I was also lucky enough to photograph their wedding party the following day at one of their favourite London hangouts, which was utterly fabulous. Be sure to look out for that story in the next blog post.
