Old Marylebone Town Hall & Brown’s Hotel, London Wedding ~ Chantal & Wayne : i do

Chantal and Wayne’s roots are Canadian, but they’ve lived in England for a few years having moved over with Wayne’s company….and as they shared with me, England holds a special place in their hearts as their youngest boy was born here and through the course of life they’ve made some great friends along the way. Their decision to marry was something that was not a surprise to their family and friends, but the timing was – hehe! With another job move on the cards, they decided to make it a date and managed to plan their lovely wedding in less than 10 weeks from start to finish…and as you can see it was really rather wonderful (…goes to show that you don’t need years to plan a perfectly gorgeous wedding!). Choosing to marry on a Friday meant that everything kinda fell into place nicely for them….finding a slot at Old Marylebone Town Hall to officialise their marriage and the legendary Brown’s Hotel (THE oldest and one of the finest Hotels in London) to hold their celebrations.

On first meeting, we quickly got chatting about their two wonderful boys….they really mean the world to them and were central to all their decisions for their Wedding day….it was such a beautiful relationship to witness….and on the day itself it was really rather emotional for all around them…and me – I found myself on more than one occasion having to swallow my tears! What I particularly loved about the day, was how it was a true family occasion….from getting ready together in the morning, right through to cutting the cake together! hehe I especially loved the moment during the ceremony when Chantal and Wayne were making thier vows and one of the boys got upset, so Chantal held him in her arms and he sat happily sucking a lollypop without a care in the world, oblivious to the commitment mommy and daddy were making right there and then – hehe (go see the shot! priceless!). Their day was truly wonderful and I think the love they share between them and for their boys is almost palpable in every shot.

Oh and I can’t end this post without mentioning how handsome Wayne and the boys looked in their lovely suits and matching dickie bows – giving a traditional British feel to the occasion, and how simply stunning Chantal looked in her seriously stylish vintage inspired dress from BHLDN (sooooooo beautiful) – and elegant Rachel Simpson shoes – le sigh…..!!! Gorgeousness personified…them and the day itself! Go see….
