Being a photographer is such a privilege as I’m there to document such special moments in life…mostly as your wedding photographer and quite often as time goes on as your family photographer. I seriously love it when my previous Brides and Grooms keep in touch via Facebook, Twitter and good old email…but what I love more is ‘that’ moment when I receive an excited message telling me that they’re about to become a mummy and daddy. I can’t tell you how these messages make my day! I never made it a secret that for me the journey to becoming a mummy was tinged with much sadness and pain, but we made it in the end, and I’m now enjoying being a mummy to a beautiful 8 month old little lady who seriously rocks my world. I believe every baby ‘bump’ is a true blessing and capturing those precious times ‘together’ of you and your hubbie along with that precious bundle of life growing inside you is just awesome.
Those of you who’ve been following my blog for a few years may well recognise Michelle and John (they also feature in my banner on top of my blog – a favourite engagement shoot image of mine!). We first met in 2010 and I had the pleasure of documenting their beautiful wedding day last year, so to catch up with them again recently and capture them enjoying the imminent arrival of their baby was just fab – we had such fun and together created a lovely set of natural, relaxed images for them to cherish forever…and to show their little girl once she is old enough to understand! Now, enough from me…go meet their beautiful bump…
