The Mandarin Oriental Wedding
Having been wowed by Donna’s engagement shoot dress, I knew that she’d have an amazing wedding dress and she didn’t let me down…she told me that she bought it in Paris and had it redesigned to suit her vintage theme – it was simply stunning! In fact the whole day was very stylish indeed – with the wedding ceremony at St Paul’s Church in Knightsbridge and the celebrations afterward at the very grand Mandarin Oriental Hotel opposite Hyde Park. We met Donna at her parents’ flat on the River Thames and spent some time getting some shots of the ever important shoes, dress and girls getting ready (I love this part of the day as it is so exciting to see what the bride is wearing and all the associated little important details!). Following this, I went off to capture the boys at the church, along with some detail shots of the rings, etc, as well as the very important guests arriving, whilst David stayed with Donna and the girls. It really was a super wedding, and the sun shone on Donna & Matt from start to end. We were able to get lots of lovely relaxed photographs of everyone having a very sparkling time with champagne free flowing along with plenty of wonderful canapes. Sadly I couldn’t stay for the wedding breakfast and evening celebrations, but I hear that the relaxed vibe of the day continued into the evening too.
