Islington Town Hall & Coq d’Argent, London Wedding ~ Gayle and Ben : I do
What I love about Weddings is that each one is so different and unique….one weekend I can be at a Vintage inspired DIY/English Country garden styled wedding and the next a chic London City one…they are all equally exciting and fill me with as much pleasure and joy as each other!
Gayle and Ben’s London City Wedding was a wonderful mixture of fun and style…they kicked their day off getting ready at the funky Malmaison, Clerkenwell. Gayle wanted to spend the morning chilling with her girlfriends, so I spent the ‘getting ready’ part of the morning with Ben and his boys…it was great fun and as you can see as with most men on the Wedding morning the priority was food and drink….! hehe Gayle and Ben studied and met in Brighton, and now live in London…check out the gifts they bought for the boys as a lasting memento of their friendship and wedding (cufflinks; 1 Brighton and 1 London…so thoughtful and personal).
Islington Town hall was their chosen place to get wed – and what a wonderful setting…so very regal and the circular shape meant that it felt very intimate despite being a large space. Afterwards they all made their way on a traditional London Bus over to the really rather fabulous ‘Coq d’Argent‘ restaurant in the City of London….and all I can say is if you’ve not been there and seen the views of London then you must do it – plus the food and service is outstanding! Gayle and Ben spent alot of time planning the little details which I love at Weddings…they went around and photographed various ‘love’ themed roads in the City and had them made up into table names….Love Lane, Bride Lane, Huggin Hill, Honey Lane to name but a few – great idea hey! Guests were also treated to customised little sweeties and the party finished with my personal favourite Wedding DJs The Wedding Smashers.…these guys really know how to party, spinning some seriously cool tunes – what a Wedding! Go see for yourself…
