Hampden House Wedding – Kelly & Philip

Kelly and Philip celebrated with family and friends at the elegant and historical Hampden House Wedding and a Church in Buckinghamshire.  With a quintessentially English country house such as Hampden House as the setting for your wedding, elegance had to be high on Kelly and Philip’s agenda…not only did they deliver on that perfectly, they added a dash of Nigerian swagger along with it, which created a cool, relaxed vibe – making it great fun to be a part of and capture.

Kelly’s beautifully simple, yet stunning Wedding dress was bespoke designed and created for her by Phillippa Lepley.  Whilst Philip donned a rather stylish on trend tie and checked tailored suit by Tom Ford, and quirky corsage by Lanvin Paris.  Ooooh and let’s not forget the gorgeous Bridesmaids who looked wonderful in charcoal grey Two Birds dresses – I just love how these dresses offer a sense of continuity of style, yet look completely different in the way they are tied, giving a unique look for each Bridesmaid.  Kelly, a girl after my own heart, chose to arrive at the Church in style too in the super cute ‘Basil’ VW Camper van- I love the purposeful contrast of relaxed chic elegance.  All these little stylish touches combined perfectly, and mirrored their obvious warmth and love for each other – they were so lovely to be around, and it really was a pleasure to capture their beautiful day for them.

Along with lots of fun and smiles, there were some other fab little design touches, like the cool, quriky and uber-unique ceremony ‘Financial Times leaflet’ (which wasn’t totally random, as they have personal links to the paper!).  I loved how everyone was ‘reading’ them pre and during the ceremony.  The stand out for me though had to be the ‘Mary Berry-esque’ Wedding cake table in the grand hall…which looked so stylish and cute (tasted fab too…I had permission too, I promise! hehe).  Guests were also treated to a cute sweetie cart, with the old classics – white mice, fizzy cola bottles, disco discs to name but a few – yum!  And on the subject of disco, they got the evening party started with one of the best first dances I’ve seen – soooooo much groove, it was great fun too.  Enough from me, go see for yourself this beautiful Hampden House Wedding…
