Hackney Town Hall & The White Rabbit, London Wedding ~ Amanda and Nick: i do

It’s safe to say that the month of April lived up to it’s reputation on Amanda and Nick’s Hackney Town Hall wedding day…the sun certainly did not have it’s hat on and for most of the day it bucketed down sadly! That said, the rain did not dampen the spirits of either Amanda or Nick or any of their lovely guests…! Often Brides and Grooms ask me about what I do if it rains on their big day – my honest answer is always that you must almost prepare yourself for it to rain (afterall we do live in England! hehe) and if it does then just embrace it! Rarely does it rain all day long, and if it does as is the case with Amanda and Nick’s then we do our best and grab cover wherever we can. With the forecast looking grim the week before, I recommended that Amanda contact a couple of places in advance that they liked the look of near to White Rabbit where they wer holding their celebrations, so we had some shelter from the elements if necessary. E Pellicci was top of their list – a cool little Italian family run cafe in Bethnal Green that has something of a cult status in the area…with it’s art deco styling and super warm welcome from the Pellicci family, it was the perfect backdrop for a bit of fun…and despite being closed they even greeted us with a bottle of bubbly! Beyond awesome…! Amanda and Nick’s attention to style continued into their celebrations, choosing to hold their wedding breakfast at an uber cool warehouse in the backstreets of Shoreditch…The White Rabbit – I’d certainly recommend it for someone looking for a cool and quirky place to hold a party. With Nick’s green fingered skills coming into play nicely (he is a Landscape gardener), he co-ordinated the transformation of it into a really rather wonderful space for all to enjoy. And for the perfect end to a wonderful day, they rounded off with the most brilliant entertainment ever…’Rock Bingo’ – it was absolutely brilliant fun for all involved – now enough from me, go see how much fun can be had in the rain…

…oh and of course I can’t write a blog feature and not mention Amanda’s beautiful Fur Coat No Knickers dress – yes the lovely ladies there did it again! …and her great taste in Vivienne Westwood heart shoes (that smell like sweets if you didn’t already know that! hehe).

Oooooh and last but not least thanks muchly to the really rather lovely Yolande De Vries who kindly 2nd shot with me on the day 🙂
