Gate Street Barn Wedding

As Amy and Andy’s Gate Street Barn Wedding Photographer I experienced a wonderful whirl of colour and fun….just like them! Everything about it made me smile…their relaxed fun nature permeated everything throughout the day, and was 100% a reflection of who they are, both indivuidually and together. Amy had been a busy bee hand crafting all the details you can see for their Wedding Breakfast…sewing, painting, cutting and crafting away for hours and hours…it was plain to see just how much love and attention she had paid to all the bits and bobs you see… creating a very happy explosion of colour and joy with lots of ‘ooohs’, ‘aaaahs’ and ‘wows’ coming from their guests 🙂 As well as all that, there was a whole load of more gorgeous style coming from the lovely Amy and Andy themselves….now I might be a little biased, but how a-maz-ing does Amy and her hair look…made even more fabulous by the work of Kaz Fernando (a rather brilliant hair & MUA whom I highly recommend to Brides to bes!) – and I must confess to doing a little happy dance when I saw the Candy Anthony bag hanging in the room, along with the distinctive bluse shoebox that could only contain some Vivienne Westwood Anglomania gorgeousness…and I was not disappointed by either! And as if I couldn’t get much more exctied, I spotted the Vivienne of Holloway Bridesmaids 1950’s strawberry fields circle dresses with white, cerise pink and baby pink underskirts and their Tatty Devine personalised neckalces that Amy had chosen as gifts for the girls to wear….all soooo cute! (….and oops I managed to somehow purchase one for myself too on getting home the next day! hehe). Continuing on the looking good theme, Andy looked dapper in a floral shirt, dicky bow and finished it all off with a pair of pink Converse, personalised with their wedding date – so no excuses now to ever forget their anniversary…clever boy Andy! hehe These guys also continued this wonderful taste and styling into their choice of venue and caterers – which were both great….and I just have to give a super special mention to – Kalm Kitchen (trust me anyone looking for fresh, tasty, beautifully presented food, you must look these guys up…food to die for, served with professionalism and big smiles from all involved – (and they treated me like a VIP…which as any photographers out there know is a truly rare and wonderful experience!). Oh and then there was the DJ….now I hear alot of music at weddings….Amy and Andy’s Gate Street Barn Wedding play list was simply genius…they told the DJ to go straight in with big hits from the start and created a dancefloor full of the best classic tunes ever…I loved every single tune I heard whilst I was capturing the party starting and found it really tough to leave – ooooh and I’m laughing as I type this now remembering the Chas and Dave ‘Rabbit’ song which Amy and Andy and most of their guests knew every word and action to! Absolutely brillaint…such fun! Guys, I thank you for choosing me to capture your lovely Gate Street Barn Wedding day….I really did love it…if your Wedding day is anything to go by then I’m 100% sure that you’ve got the perfect ingredients for a very long and happy life together xxx
