Eastclose Hotel Hinton, Dorset Vintage Wedding ~ Katie & Michael: i do

When Katie and Michael asked me to capture their beautiful wedding at the Eastclose Hotel Hinton I was indeed honoured, as I always am with my couples who choose me to share in one their happiest days of their life….but, I have to admit to feeling a little bit of extra pressure in that Michael is a photographer himself…and as anyone in the business knows it’s always a little daunting knowing that the person in front of your camera is more used to being behind it! hehe Anyways, I had nothing to fear as it was all very relaxed, great fun, full of love, happiness and super stylish – all the best ingredients for a fabulous wedding in my book!

Katie wore a stunning 1950’s Vintage dress from the gorgeous ladies that are Laura and Emma from Fur Coat No Knickers, and a beautiful Vintage Headband designed by Fur Coat No Knickers – and finished her outfit off wonderfully with a feather stole from Queens and Bowl (love their stuff!) and rather gorgeous shoes from Coast…resulting in a very stylish bride indeed! 🙂 Not to be left out, Michael opted for a tailored 3 piece suit which was custom designed and cut to suit him – which I think you’ll agree looked fabulous too, finished off with some funky white brogues from Paul Smith. Rather brilliantly, Katie gave Michael a Vintage Pocketwatch as a surprise gift in the morning, which finished his look off perfectly! The Bridesmaids also looked amazing, with different cut and coloured yet at the same time complimentary dresses – which they rocked rather nicely!

And just when I thought I couldn’t be much more excited than I already was, I saw the details and styling of their Wedding Breakfast…! Katie and Michael had spent months in the lead up to their wedding, collecting lots of Vintage pieces from Charity shops, and to complete the vibe they included photographs of their older relatives which was a really rather wonderful touch. Their guests were treated to Champagne, Pimms and
Moscow Mules, whilst enjoying an afternoon/evening of chatter, croquet and dancing! And oh yes, how could I forget their amazing and super tasty ginger flavoured sponge cake from the one and only Choccywoccydoodah shop in Brighton…a personal favourite of mine! Katie and Michael thanks so much for inviting me to be part of your wonderful day, and may your next chapter be one filled with lots of love, light and laughter x
